My Lords, Ladies and Gentlemen

Some people are intimidated emailing large numbers of people in an entertaining way, not me. With the summer fast approaching it’s time to focus on the season ahead. A new scoreboard at St Seb’s thanks to NextGen Solutions and a new look bar with a textbook engraved bell can only help to whet your appetite for the sport we love so much. On the field every team is looking to put their best foot forward, but this can only be achieved with everyone keeping their availability up to date, trust, encouragement, reward, loyalty... satisfaction.

The ONES this year are pushing to win their first league title since 2014 at last, the 2nd XI also looking for a strong season, and the 3rd XI hoping to put an impressive winning streak together….. We have exciting youth graduates hoping to put the old guard on the scrapheap which should help all of us compete at the best possible level. Having said that, we are one the best clubs at including every level and this will continue to be a cornerstone of our philosophy. The mid-week team are eagerly awaiting the return of the short format after watching the IPL once and the newly formed Women’s team are hoping to hit the ground running and we wish them luck on the season ahead! Finally, we all wish the girls and boys youth teams good luck and look forward to seeing how the get on this year.

I hope you are all looking forward to the season as much as I am, and I can’t wait to see you all at the first Saturday night Kangaroo court. Keep warming up and let’s make 2021 the best year Crowthorne and Crown Wood has ever seen!

Go Well

Best

Will Avrili Esq (Captain, Leader, Entertainer)
