Margaret Howe, Crowthorne CC’s own super fan, is doing a skydive to raise money for Myeloma UK.
For the club newbies, Margaret was diagnosed with Myeloma (Cancer of the plasma cells in the Bone Marrow) about eight years ago. Since then she has battled the cancer by raising money and awareness by organizing charitable events, and campaigning for fair access to treatments for cancer sufferers. Before her first chemo/transplant treatment she was a regular at both Saturday and Sunday matches and is still a regular at the end of year awards (she enjoys a piss up as much as the rest of the guys) and was even allowed on our last tour. She has undergone a second transplant early this year and wants to continue her fight by raising more money.
