First a reminder that this Saturday 9th June we have a curry night at Kabirs on Dukes Ride, kicking off around 8:15 pm. It would be great to see as many members as possible to support our sponsors, and also because it will be a great night!
You may know that we experimented with setting up this curry night as a 'fixture' on the website to get an idea of numbers. Unfortunately this has messed up our understanding of availability for actual cricket matches on the same day (oops!), so I will delete the curry night 'fixture' from the website but IT IS STILL GOING AHEAD.
Please can you confirm your attendance at the curry night by dropping a note to info@crowthornecc.co.uk, or post a message on the Whatsapp group saying you are IN for the curry.
Also I want to make you aware of a few more dates for the diary:
- Sunday 24th June - World Cup Footy! England vs Panama at 1pm - followed by a home Sunday cricket fixture at 3pm. Even if you are not playing the match, come down and enjoy Bo's hospitality and put a few quid behind the bar.
- Sunday 1st July - Ricky McDowell memorial match - another great opportunity to avail yourself of Bo's bar services. This has been a massively well supported and enjoyable day in the last couple of years. Talk to Dan Partridge about helping out on the day, they might even need the odd player but I can't promise.
- Sunday 22nd July - CLUB DAY 6-A-SIDE - Please update your availability (really!) for the annual 6-a-side tournament and club day. Julian O'Loughlin is the man in charge of making this an enjoyable family friendly club day for all, as the teams battle for the Adrian Chatters trophy. Any way you can help out, let Jules know.
