In a match that lit up the evening sky, Gerhard Krüger’s explosive 63* off 36 balls wasn’t enough to overhaul Bracknell’s imposing 205-5 — but it was a knock that will echo in club folklore.
Bracknell’s top order fired relentlessly, led by Amol Tyagi (76) and Fahad Anwar (44), with Abdul Sami Khan adding a rapid 26. Despite wickets from Jonny Mattey (2), Matt Jones, and Daniel Cartledge, the visitors piled on the pressure with 36 extras.
Crowthorne’s reply was spirited. Daniel Cartledge (37), Matt Jones (14*), and Gerhard Krüger led the charge, but the chase proved too steep. The team finished on 171-6, showing grit and flair in defeat.
