Crowthorne’s Midweek XI roared to their first win of the season with a dominant chase that left Wokingham stunned and spectators spellbound.
Set 154 to win, the reply was a batting clinic. Jules O’Loughlin (50 off 43) laid the foundation, but it was David Krüger who stole the show with an imperious 86* off 64 balls — a knock of pure control and class. Daniel Cartledge (8*) sealed the deal as Crowthorne cruised home with 9 balls to spare, losing just one wicket.
Earlier, Wokingham’s innings was anchored by Chinmay Kulkarni (60) and Ranjeet Sidhu (40), but tight spells from Jai Parhar, Jay Blaney, Sam Mansfield and David Krüger kept the visitors in check. The bowling unit shared the spoils, and the fielding was sharp.
