Crowthorne’s Midweek XI delivered a batting masterclass under the Wokingham lights, racking up a monstrous 197-1 — their highest total of the season — before sealing a 46-run win with clinical precision.
Jules O’Loughlin (64 off 40) and Ollie Taylor (85* off 66) put on a dazzling 167-run opening stand, blending elegance with aggression. Daniel Cartledge (8*) added the finishing touches, while 40 extras added salt to Wokingham’s wounds.
In reply, Wokingham fought gamely, with Rahul Tak (25) and Rohit Sharma (24) showing resistance. But the Crowthorne attack shared the spoils: Katie Finucane (2-25), Dan Finucane, Gillian Finucane, Matt Jones, Jonny Mattey and Omer Farooq all chipped in to restrict the hosts to 151-7.
