Match report On a glorious sunny day Crows made the trek to a club that no-one had ever heard of. Would it be some featureless municipal park or something nicer? It had everything you want from Sunday cricket. Beautiful ground, no electricity, surrounded by polo fields and horses in the Phillimore estate and what could be more Sunday than a big Chestnut tree at fly slip. Local rules agreed, we lost the toss and fielded. Good opening spells from Jai and Adam kept the scoring rate low (26-0 after 10) and whilst one batsman was going for it, the other looked like he might be there all day to get to 20. When no. 1 got to 100, no 2 was on about 15. Jamie's first (legal) delivery in 20-odd years went sky high, surely a legendary crows moment? The court will decide on whether Sam should have got there, but into the grass it fell. Fast forward and they were 200-0 before a flurry of wickets from Siv, Jules and Jordan at least got the wickets column moving and they closed on 220 in 40 overs.

The chase never really got going and the only resistance really cam from Sam who top scored with 32, Dave Shaw who bludgeoned some lusty blows and Adam M who nobly kept going to the end. We fell some 60 runs short, but a really nice fixture and good group to play. Three early moves for the duck prize to boot.
