Crowthorne’s 3rd XI avenged their earlier defeat to Maidenhead Royals 2s with a composed all-round performance, chasing down 160 with four wickets in hand and nearly five overs to spare. Ateeq Mirza (48), Krunal Patel (35), and Adam Mansfield (27*) led the way in a chase that balanced aggression with control.
The Royals batted first and reached 160-8, with Sana Khan again top-scoring with 41 and Faraz Ahmed adding 29. But the Crows’ bowlers kept things tight — Avinash Singh (2-28) struck early, Jai Parhar (2-32) applied pressure through the middle, and Adam Mansfield (1-20) chipped in late. The fielding was sharp, with a run-out and several tidy stops keeping the visitors in check.
In reply, Ateeq Mirza played fluently for his 48, mixing boundaries with smart singles. Krunal Patel’s 35 was full of wristy flicks and clever placement, and after a mini-collapse, Adam Mansfield held firm with an unbeaten 27 to guide the chase home in the 35th over.
