Match report Stand in skipper Nick Outram started well, losing the toss and the Crows took the field with an arsenal of bowlers at his disposal.

The opening salvo of Anand and Monty was tight with an early wicket for Anand. Batsman then set root although tight bowling restricted them to 88-2 at drinks. Their 16 year old batsmen in the making had his first 50 in the bag as the Crows looked for wickets.

Shravan came on to break the big 100 run partnership with a good grab from the Judge in the covers. But the young lad carried on batting well and crows were left to rue dropped chances ( no names - Dave Shaw) as he converted his first 50 to his first 100. Crows kept their heads up and worked hard to the end with the vandals finishing in 218-6.

Tea. Disappointing. No cakes, no actual cups of tea and yet a £75 bill. Enough said.

The Judge and the Skipper strode to the crease and tucked into a hearty buffet of Sunday bowling and fielding that would have been a poor showing on the beach. Running at 8 an over the skipper decided to go back and across and was out LBW after a decent 70 odd stand.

Bainesey also succumbed to the Umpires finger after some good cover drives to keep the scoreboard ticking. The Judge meanwhile passed his 50 and with Shravan took us to within 30ish. Dave Shaw biffed some mighty blows and then decided to get out with the scores level. Deepak also decided to avoid winning the game and a tense three maidens in a row had Rupes nervous and Monty twitching on the boundary before Anand stroked the winning run.

Great Sunday cricket and the right result.
