Match report CROWS SURVIVE TRIP TO THE LIONS DEN

Crows ONES travelled all the way to Highmoor CC on the other side of the galaxy to face fledgling club Reading Lions and their talismanic tormentor-in-chief Shiva Aruna

In the absence of anyone sensible, Sin Chandran assumed the captaincy against his arch-indoor nemesis Aruna

Joe Davies showed his teammates what they'd missed all season with a well-paced 80 whilst copper-topped Chris Emes scored a valuable 25 to help Crows post 165 from their allotted 40 overs

Crows bowlers all played their part in the defence of their total with Luke Taylor and Chris Emes bagging a couple of wickets each. Some good catches and run outs meant Lions couldn't quite reach their target despite the unbeaten 85 from Aruna.

At the end of the match the Crows team made their excuses and left - destination St Sebs where the Kangaroo Court and a plentiful supply of Hobbers Gobbers awaited them.
