Match report ST SEBS DELUGE DENIES CROWS

A short game at St. Sebs which had to be abandoned due to a prolonged rain shower.

Dave McQuitty opened the batting with Marshall Miller. Twyford bowled very accurately in overcast and cloudy conditions. It was a tight affair but Twyford took their first wicket in the eighth over when skipper McQuitty was bowled by Nick Downes in his first over.

Foxy batted slowly but stayed in bat until the first rain shower fell. Play resumed 30 minutes later when the rain subsided. Som and Foxy held a strong partnership until another change of bowling resulted in Som being caught behind.

Avi was batting well and played some good shots while the rain continued to fall. Both teams did well to play in pouring rain until it became unplayable and the game had to stop. Despite a pause in the rain 30 minutes later the game had to be abandoned due to the field being too wet.
