Match report 🗞️ “Shaw and Soundar Smash Binfield to Bits”

Crowthorne’s 3rd XI delivered a batting masterclass to chase down Binfield’s 219-8 in just 28.3 overs, losing only one wicket in the process. It was a day for the top order to feast, with Jules O’Loughlin blasting 106 and Anand Soundar cruising to 88* in a record-breaking partnership.
Binfield’s innings was built around Mehul Garg (40), Mitesh Patel (45), and Vikram Duraiswamy (33), but Avinash Singh’s fiery 4-37 kept the visitors in check. Jai Parhar, Jules O’Loughlin, and Anand Soundar each chipped in with a wicket, while the fielding unit held firm.
Then came the fireworks. O’Loughlin’s 106 off 74 balls included 16 fours and 3 sixes, while Soundar’s unbeaten 88 was a lesson in timing and placement. The pair added 166 for the first wicket before O’Loughlin was stumped. Ateeq Mirza (14*) saw the chase home with Soundar, sealing a dominant win.

“I just wanted to be positive from ball one. The pitch was true, and Anand was brilliant at the other end. It’s a great feeling to start the innings and finish the game.”
