Match report 🗞️ “Knowl Hill Hold Firm as Crows Collapse”

Crowthorne’s 3rd XI were undone by a disciplined Knowl Hill attack, falling short in a chase of 114 after being bowled out for 108 in 34.3 overs. Despite a fighting 26 from Simon Sheppardt and a composed 24 from Jai Parhar, the Crows couldn’t recover from a top-order wobble and a late collapse.
Knowl Hill batted first and reached 114-4 in 20 overs, with Joe Bloomfield (43) and Jordy Duffy (22*) leading the charge. Mike Storey picked up two wickets, and Jai Parhar added one, but the visitors’ aggressive intent and smart running kept the pressure on.
In reply, Crowthorne stumbled to 29-4, with John Randall (3-28) and Nick Harrison (3-17) doing the damage. Sheppardt and Parhar rebuilt with a 59-run stand, but once they fell, the tail folded quickly. Jordy Duffy and Adam Brookman chipped in with two wickets each, sealing a 6-run win for Knowl Hill.

“We were in the game at 101-6, but credit to Knowl Hill — they kept the pressure on and took their chances. Simon and Jai showed real fight. We’ll take the lessons and look to finish strong.”
