Match report "Reece Lightning" tears through Watford Raiders

On a beautiful sunny day, Debutant Graham Smith and a youthful Crows XI took to the field. The youf were unleashed with Reece and Jake taking the new ball and Reece soon had his first victim. Generally tight the wickets kept falling and Reece had another and then two in two balls, then a HAT-TRICK before running out of overs with 6 wickets and a baggy green to his name. James Scott bamboozled the opposition with an unusually straight delivery before taking a good catch. Luke taylor and DC were afforded the rare luxury of being able to bowl some filthy spin and the Raiders were soon 9 down. Reece could come back on to bowl and had two overs left and dutifully took the final wicket to finish with 7.4-0-25-7. Amazing scenes as he led us off and faced the gathering crowds and the Baggy green presentation party.

The Judge and George set about the total with calm and purpose before the Judge inexplicably played down the wrong line. Chris Emes came to the rescue with some impressive biffing and George also hit a humungous 6 on the way to a decent 23. The two Emes brothers tried their best to run each other out before Pete was also castled which left just enough time for Chris to pass 50 and see off the last few runs. Rumours are that an unofficial second game then took place, but there are no records of this. (although Sin got spanked for a HUGE six by DC)
