Match report 3rds lose on return to St Sebs

Dave won the toss and elected to bowl. Everyone except Jordan got a bowl, full friendly rules applied. Avi and Ajay opened up, neither taking wickets in the 1st 8 overs. None came in the next 8 from Ven and Ben . Ben bowling surprisingly well and going for far less than his bowling partner. Skipper Dave then brought himself into the attack , confusing batsman and bowling well. Taking 2 wickets in his 1st 5 over spell. Venky came on and took a wicket and bowled a tight line through his 3 overs. Big bad Chris was then brought into the attack with the returning skipper.Chris bowled a mix of spin, medium pace and full out speed, taking 3 wickets . Skipper Dave picked up 3 in his 2nd spell to end with 8-2-18-5.

After a cracking curry tea , skipper Dave and Venki set out to chase down 183 for victory. After a slow start Dave departed, quickly followed 7 others , leaving crows 52 for 8 after 16. AWR and Ajay then had some fun biffing the spinners, putting on 35 for the 9th wicket, before AWR fell to a shooting delivery , to be quickly followed by Avi . Crows 87 all out.
