Match report Crows slide to defeat at the Fairground.

Losing the toss Crows were put in. All batsman struggled against good bowling on a very grassy wicket. Venki and Mirza put on 24 for the 3rd wicket , before both were removed , leaving Crows 63 for 5 in the 27 over. Command from the skipper to the new partnership of Duck King AWR and Spare Emes to treat the rest of the overs as batting practice was taken to heart. AWR batting the rest if the overs , combining with Family Emes, Jc Junior and AJ , to push the score up to 107 . But more importantly , stopping Mortimer bowling us out.

Crows set out to force Mortimer to face as many overs as possible . Avi bowled his 9 on the reel, taking 2 for 33 and unlucky not to take more. Chances were not then taken. . Peter Emes bowled a good spell , taking 1 for 13 off his 3 overs, but with more luck would have had 3 wickets. JC did his best, finishing with 5-3-3-0. Ven decided to spray the ball around a bit, when wicket taking deliveries were needed. Mortimer took into the 30th over to knock off the runs, a good fighting effort from Crows in the field. If more catches had been held, could have been very interesting end.
