Match report Crows defeated again in Earley

On a freshly laid piece of play do , crows were put into bat. Wickets fell pretty constantly throughout and runs were difficult to get due to very slow bowling on a Plasticine pitch and a meadow for an outfield. Good partnerships of 24 between Julia McQuitty and Sean Clarke , and then 27 between Dan Manning and AWR got the crows up to 102.

The standout batsman for Crows was one E.Xtra , who contributed to all partnerships on a way to baggie green winning 51.

After a tea of mixed curries Crows set out to defend the total. JC team talk clearly stating we needed to field well and hold everything. The side did the first really well, but with at least 4 catches going down, victory slipped away , with Earley deciding cross bat smashing of boundaries was the way to play on the wicket.

JC took a great caught and bowled and George Timms and excellent catch on the boundary , to give JC his customary two wickets. Julia McQuitty came on near the end and took 2 for 3 . but the old adage rang so so true, catches win matches.
