Match report Crows lose again

On a pitch that had more cracks than a national big butt competition , crows won the toss and elected to field .

too many 4 balls and too many missed opportunities meant Mortimer were 46 for 1 off 8 overs. A little control was gained by the slow bowling pair of JC and Mikey. Both bowled well and Mikey was spinning it miles . Both ended with identical figures of 8-2-24-2. Brutal hitting from Jimmy George and the lower middle order then propelled Mortimer up above 175, before Jimmy was bowled by a returning Ven. Avi returned to blow the tail away to finish with 4 wickets.

Fielding highlights included JC Junior chesting the ball onto the stumps for an unusual stumping and a surprise death bowling display from Nikhil .

Standard fair for the openers, ducks and quick returns to the pavilion. Quite quickly followed by nos 3, 4 and 5 . any chance of victory gone . However great partnerships from Dan Manning and Nikhil and then Dan Manning and JC took crows up to 145 off the 40 overs . JC remaning 35 not out, Dan getting 35 and Nikhil 22.
