Match report Crows lose the “A3095 Ashes” game

3rds won the toss and to the surprise of Sandhurst . elected to bowl. The decision was of no surprise to the Crows team.

For the 2nd week in a row ,a good bowling and fielding performance meant we bowled the oppo out inside 40 overs. Highlights including a great catch by JC Junior and 3 wickets for Soumya, having been chucked the ball to fill out overs. Monty very unlucky to not get a wicket, ending with 8-2-13. Wickets for Jordan and Avi, 2 for the ever reliable JC. 3 wickets a piece for Soumya and Ven.

Sandhurst ended 114 all out, a total that didn't seem un-surmountable

Crows reply started badly with JC, Sunny and AWR back in the hutch by the end of the 8th over. Venki and Ajay then hung around , putting on 27 for the 4th wicket. Wickets fell too frequently after that and no one really got going with the bat . It was left to Monty and Avi to bat out the last few overs to deny Sandhurst full bowling points. Crows left 84 for 9 . Too many maidens played out on a challenging wicket.
