Match report The Beginning of a New Dynasty.

Brundish's troops beat Hawley in first Sunday fixture.

Sunday Crows won there first Sunday fixture of the season beating Hawley CC by 64 runs.

On what was a slightly warmer day at the home of Village cricket. Crows now under new leadership in Brundish looked to start there 2019 Campaign with a win against his old side.

Losing the toss and before even saying 'yes it's heads' Dan Litwin Elected to put crows into bat without a moment's hesitation.

Ant Avrili and James Whitehurst lead the line and began promisingly on a testing wicket in some places uneven bounce, seam movement and swing for good measure. Going along nicely before ant Avrili lost his wicket, have a little nibble at one outside off which caught his edge through to the keeper.

VC and cemented in at number 3 the Sunday Master DC strolled out to the crease and was off the mark straight away. He and Whitehurst building an excellent partnership, with classy stroke play as well as brilliant temperament so early on the season there could be a lot of big partnerships from this pair.

Both got to 50 within 3 balls of each other, before both lost their wickets in quick succession however the pair had put on a brilliant 117 run partnership, James Whitehurst's innings was nothing short of a masterclass and the opposition named it 'near on faultless'

At this point 28 overs in runs were picked off and wickets were falling at regular intervals.
Out strode the Captain.

With only 7 balls left, only one thing on his mind. Some clean strikes one of which went for four before losing his wicket with a ball left to go. Last ball. Dot ball. Crows finish on a very competitive 195. Second Innings incoming.

Pete Clarke and the performance analyst himself Daniel Crinnion lead the the Crows attack. Both bowled very good line and length to keep Tileys aggressive batting at bay. Both finishing with 2/24 ( Clarke) and 0-23 (Crinnion) respectively. Crinnerz highly unlucky not to get on the board.

The Spanish archer Luke Taylor was first change and first ball caught the edge of Tileys bat which Brundish came up to quick and let slip through his fingers 😠 did he drop the match? Only time will tell.

Ven replaced kiwi from the tennis court end and got the danger man tiley with his first delivery with a sky high ball caught by nikunj much to Brundish's relief, his error was not to costly.

With the danger man dismissed wickets fell at regular intervals and with victory in sight, with pee wee P.Emes bagging himself 3 wickets in the process in a very tidy spell, along with LBo (1/32 off 8) Brundish spoke the words that strike fear into every batsman's heart

"Ben, next over that end"

With the enormous 1 pace run up Ben bowled a tidy little spell and after a day when he was undefeated with the bat and a decent fielding display, the planets began to align as there was only one man who could get us over the line.

Ben with his ferocious variations of pace, flight line, length and everything else. James adams spooned on up to cover caught by sub fielder Chris Emes as DC for some reason had made plans that clashed during a cricket match, utterly shocking. JOB DONE

Brundish spoke to the press after the match who were keen to get his thoughts.

"The lads did a great job today, proud of every one of them. They all played there part no matter how big or small. I am a proud man to lead these guys. I hope we can continue this on for the rest of the season."
