Match report The Crows scrambled a tie off the last ball of the game to share the points!

Shinfield won the toss and decided to bat. The Crows bowlers kept the batsmen under control with the exception of the Shinfield opening bat, who was a fine batsman and retired 30 no. Unfortunately we bowled too many wides and no balls, the batsman only scored 46, but we gave away 22 extra, bring the the Shinfield total to 68.

Peter and Sennen opened the innings, and both were caught within the first three overs trying to force the scoring, which wasn't need chasing a low score. Shinfield bowled a good line and gave very few scoring opportunities, this put pressure on the Crows batsman and wickets fell regularly at one end. Reece batted superbly at one end, with good composure despite the enthusiastic chat from the fielders. With runs at a premium and overs running out Reece played his first bad shot and was bowled. We needed 6 off the last over to win, Joe and James managed four off the first five balls, Leaving Joe facing, we scrambled a single to tie the game.

The game was played in a great spirit, and a fair result. For Crows, the result could have been different, 22 extras and poor calling and running between the wickets, which gave away a minimum of 10 runs. No guess what we will be practising at training!

Reece was man of the match, for his great batting display.
