Match report After many cancelled matches this was the first outing for the U13 Crows, a sunny evening at a beautiful Finchampstead ground, game on!

We lots the toss and where asked to bat, this was a blessing in disguise. Peter and Sennon opened the batting, watchful and respecful to the good bowling from the opening two bowlers. Peter was unlucky bowled off his pads when the ball wouldn't have hit a second pair of stumps. Sennon and Reece batted beautiful, good calling. Sennon got to 30 and retired soon followed by Reece. Alfie and Ashmit continued the fine batting with some aggressive shots, with a great 6 from Ashmit. Alfie reached his 30 and retired, soon followed by Ashmit. A few overs for Jake to record 11 No and Adam came to the wicket and didn't face a ball.

We scored 157 for 1, a great mature batting display, where all the batsman played them self in, before attacking, with 4 batsman to get to 30 and retire, the standard for the season has been set.

After a quick drink and biscuit, the boys where ready to defend their total. Peter got the break through, bowling their opening bat. Some good fielding by James and Josh resulting in a couple of run outs and with Sennon bowling a jucy full toss that the batsman smacked straight to Peter, who took a great catch, 4 down for 23. Adam joined the wicket club with a good catch by Ashmit. The skipper then brought himself back into the attack seeing his mate coming out to bat, two wickets in an over with a good catch by Josh. Everybody got a over in, and Josh and Alfie finished the game each with a wicket. Finch all out for 40. Joe kept well behind the stumps.

A great start to the season, man of the match was Reece for his fine batting, with good decision making and calling.
