Match report Crows chase 255 with ease at Falkland

Crows chose to field and went slowly out onto the small Falkland pitch with the fast outfield to try and restrict the opposition to a par 250 score.

JC Junior and LBo opened up without any luck and the opposition were 73 for 0 after 10. Demolition Dave and AWR were then tried,both picking up a wicket apiece and bringing the run rate below 6.

Ven bowled through his allocation showing good control and picking up 3 for 48. JC picked up 2 wickets and quite a bit of tap at the end of the innings, to finish with 2 for 45 of 8 . Jonathan Ashendon bowled well on debut , the small boundaries being very unforgiving.

George Tims was excellent as a boundary rider throughout stopping many boundaries and keeping many strokes to a single. Falkland finished on 255 for 7 (although scorebook would suggest their score was a little higher)

After trekking up the road for tea , JC and Demolition strode out to start the chase. Demolition fell for 32 with the score on 70 in the 17th over, quickly followed by Ajay. George Tims and Ragu crunched boundaries in two short, quick scoring innings, leaving crows 136 for 4 in the 27th Over. Out strode Ven.

What followed , was at times brutal, but always entertaining partnership of 121 between Ven and JC to steer the team to victory in the 43 over. Ven hit 12 fours and 2 sixs to finish 70 no and JC (skipper, gentleman and legend) carried his bat , hitting 9 fours to finish 71 not out.

Fantastic Chase , great win.
