Match report The Earl need to change his gray shirt!!!

After the previous weekend game cancelled, Crows were looking ahead to play a tough game with West Reading who finished top of the league last season. After encouraging the crows from the boundary for a few matches from outside of the pitch finally, Nick (One's Captain) was able to step up and lead the team. Nick, got his first job spot-on and won the toss - so far so good - and decided o bowl first after some tremendous fielding and catching practise by the Crows.

The plan was to keep a tight reign on the scoring rate, So Nick turned to Jaffa(the one handed Warrior) and the Sinith (The Earl) to execute the plan. Both the bowlers stuck to their task perfectly and when Jeff made the initial breakthrough, dismissing the opener for 0 with the brilliant catch by Shaq at the slip things were looking good. The West Reading Captain came our and played a controlled innings only to be snaffled with a C&B by our very own colonel. Several more wickets followed. Despite fasting, on a very hot day, Shaq and Razz rose to the challenge showing tremendous discipline, bowling good length balls and with some great fielding by the crows West Reading were restricted to 180.

After the brilliant tea by Sin who said "if it's not nice then Asda is to blame" (He uses the same excuse for his fielding), crows openers DC and The Colonel went out onto the battlefield for what looked like the competition of sledging from west reading players. Even they didn't leave out the square leg umpire Naga after not rising his finger for a stumping. Soon the top order struggled to settle down and crows were 28 for 3 off 12 overs. The stage was set, Shaq enters from stage left and showed West Reading of how to sledge with the bat with his brilliant shots. While Shaq stayed at crease the West Reading players forgot to sledge and the crows looked on enjoying the spectacle, sitting in the pavillion seeing the shots on offer. Especially Sin, who now on the pitch as Square leg umpire enjoyed the close proximity to the West Reading players faces. However, it was too good to be true and when Shaq finally fell it brought back the WR Players sledging back and a collapse which resulted in a lose for the Crows.
