Match report Fairy tale ending for Crows as Prince Charman wins game in rags to riches Cinderella story.

The Crows beat the Mad scientists from UCB in an incredible finish, with Doug Charman smashing a 6 off the last ball, which just crept over the rope after grazing the fingers of the man on the boundary.

An understrength UCB (ranks bolstered by crows; Mackenzie and Swaden) had started well, with 3 batsmen retiring on 25, and Mackenzie hitting a quickfire 20 before being bowled by o'loughlins surprise straight one. The crows only took 2 wickets in 20 overs as UCB finished on 146 for 2, with Charman especially going for some tap off his 2 overs. P Clarke was the pick of the bowling ( 1 for 5 off 2)

UCB started well in the field, with Mackenzie removing Baines for 4, and his younger, taller, better looking name sake getting Davies for 13. Charman and Jules both retired not out on 25, before Brent Swaden struck with 2 wickets and a catch leaving the crows in trouble. Pete Clarke followed up his good work with the ball with a swift 29 with the bat, and UCB were suddenly up against it. the game swung yet again as Powell bowled well at the death, taking two wickets in the last over including the scalp of Damon Emes, Caught at gully by Mackenzie, which only brought our hero to the crease. Charman delivered the killer blow off the very last ball to win the game, and the crows were cock-a-hoop, sending UCB back to the lab with their tails between their legs.
