Crowthorne & Crown Wood Cricket Club Lost by 32 runs

Match report On an overcast and at times rainy Saturday morning the U13 Crows hosted Shinfield U13s.

The Crows won the toss and put Shinfield in to bat first. Charlie Wilson and Luke Taylor started well dismissing both the openers in the first few overs but some aggressive batting from Aditiya and Abdur put Shinfield on top further into the innings. The Junior Crows had their chances and a few potential catches were dropped, but Shinfield went on to post a confident score of 120 off twenty overs!

Despite some quick fire batting from Charlie Wilson (15) and Olive Taylor (22) the Crows fell short and ended up on 88 all out.

Some work will be done on catching high balls in training as well as reading the bounce of the ball. A top two finish is probably now out of reach but lets try to improve and finish the season strongly in mid table.
