Match report It seems to be a rule that all the junior matches this season are dramatic, entertaining and close affairs. The U11s match against North Maidenhead today went down to the last ball with the scores level. Sadly we were run out on the final ball and lost by five runs!!! So close, but we are giving the best of teams a game this season!

Ashmit Pande starred with the ball, taking two wickets in one over and three in total.

With the bat, Peter Emes (12) hit two boundaries to finish with the highest batting score. Jo Morton (6) and Elkanah Lawal (9) hit their first boundaries for the club and ended up with the second and third highest scores in only their second match!

North Maidenhead pulled themselves back into the game, bowling and fielding superbly to take four wickets in the final three overs. This pulled North Maidenhead four runs into lead until Oliver Taylor hit a superb cover drive to level the scores with just one ball remaining.

The tension was incredible for the final ball. Oliver Taylor struck it, ran for the single but Jake Gibbings was run out at the other end, meaning we lost the game by five runs!

It was incredibly close and tense. The boys however did well to bowl few wides and hit many runs off the bat to give a very strong North Maidenhead team a game!
