Match report On a perfect afternoon for cricket won the toss and chose to bat.

After a comic slow motion run out and an unlucky play on left us 39 for 2 , the middle order settled down and started to enjoy the buffet.
Especially Chris "Barrymore" Allwright who, once adjusted to the lack of pace in the 4th Division, proceeded to hit 18 fours and 3 sixes on his way to a cracking 118, sharing in a 131 run partnership with Bo Taylor (26) for the 3rd Wicket.

Some lusty hitting from the rest of the middle order left the skipper able to declare at the end of the 40th over , on 238 for 6.

After a second buffet (the tea this time), Crows took to the field in search of 10 wickets for victory.

Result seemingly never in doubt once Monty Miller blew away the top order to finish with figures of 10-3-18-4. Then the wicket taking baton was passed to LL Cool A and the ever dependable John Cartledge, who wrapped up the other 6 wickets, 4 for LL and 2 for JC. Hawley dismissed for 70 off 26 overs.

fantastic fielding performance from the whole side, but Foxy and Ben in the covers were particularly sharp. Special mention to Bo for his two-handed salmon like leap for a catch and to Jimmy for two catches, the first of which left the whole team gobsmacked, diving take at Mid On. if only the cameras had been there!

Fantastic win that has pushed us two places up the league. Onward and Upward,
