Match report In what's coming a tradition skipper lost the toss and so took to the field with a strong batting line up

There followed 45 overs of toil in the field, with Ruislip offering up chances that just fell short or just went over fielders heads.

All bowlers, apart from a short spell by Dan Cartledge, suffered at the hands of the hard hitting Ruislip batsman.

John Cartledge did his normal job of taking wickets and mystifying batsman.

After a long trek to get tea, the crows took to the pitch to bat.

Both openers departed early, Dan Cartledge doing a great angry man impersonation on return to the boundary.

Slight repair done by Dan (Bernard) Manning and Julia McQuitty got the score to 43 before the classic 3rds batting collapse left us 47 for 6 at the end of the 19th over.

Left to the skipper , ably assisted by Jimmy (13), Ben (18) and Monty (13) to bat out for the draw while gaining 4 batting points.
