Match report Crowthorne & Crown Wood 1st put the previous week's defeat behind them with a satisfying victory at BCS. Skipper Ant Cluett finally won a toss and put in BCS on a wicket that looked like it was going to help the bowlers a lot. Jeff Cluett claimed the first wicket as Hussey lifted the ball to a surprised looking Chris Allwright at square leg, still nursing his all-day drinking hangover. But what followed was a farcical continuation of last week's comedy fielding as 3 catches went down in quick succession. Shah looked terrific but impatient and finally was held by Shakeel in the slips, having survived at least three chances. Ashley Fowles (LATE by 17 minutes) bowled a snorter to Bhatti, Jamil went to catch of the day from a diving Alex Sykes, running back from point and diving full length to catch two-handed. Rehann and Khurram re-built, but the stand was broken after the drinks break. There was time for Crook to get a classic off spinner's wicket and BCS closed on 124 all out, Jeff claiming the best figures of 4-29.

The chase started perfectly as Richard Barron and Shakeel Arshad batted solidly for a 50 run opening partnership, Barron (32) falling to the last ball before tea. Three wickets fell in the chase, Farroq maintaining discipline and and bowling at the stumps with seam movement. The match was done by the time Arshad had departed for a fine 56, CCWCC claiming a 35-point win and fourth in the Wintech BCL Premier table.
