Match report Crows lose to Lisvane C.C in close encounter of the welsh kind.

Mackenzie lost the toss and the Crows were put in to field by the welsh touring side.

Brundish and Cartledge opened the bowling with tight spells, and Cartledge breaking the opening partnership wide open with a wicket and a run out.
Boulton came next bowling in miserly fashion and taking a wicket, before the spin attack came on to clean up, with Baines(4), Manning (2) Davies (1) and young Matt Wilson (1)all taking wickets, with Lisvane all out for 147 off 37.3 overs

The Crows innings started steadily, with boundaries hard to come by for the openers, who were gone by the 17th over for 54 runs between them.
Cartledge came to the crease and played a solid and watchful innings while the rest of the batsmen came and went at the other end. Only Brundish made double figures in support, and Cartledge was left stranded on 102 not out, with the crows still 11 runs short of the total by the end of the 40th over.

A disconsolate skipper (who didn't bat or bowl) refused to talk to the press after the game.
