Match report Lost the toss, they elected to bat first.

There was a great team spirit yesterday, and though the result wasn't in our favour, the full team came together and gave a real team performance. Really proud of you. Two debutants were in the team, so a big congrats to Tim Leach and Rich Henton, hope you enjoyed it.

We played a very strong Yateley side, which proved difficult to break down. Bowling was very tough out there, but there was some tight bowling from Pete Clarke, Saviour and Hatch. Every ball hit in the air seemed to drop inbetween the fielders, and the few chances that came to us were hit so hard they practically broke hands, see Phil's swollen purple hand (hope its better now). Saying that, there were 2 great catches from Saviour and Hatch. Only 4 wickets were taken, 2 for Dan, 1 for Hatch, and Tim's first for the club. Well done to all the bowlers.

In the field the team spirit was brilliant, with the debutants really stepping up. Tim proved to be as solid as a wall, with really safe hands and an immense throw. Rich Henton was chasing everything and stopping everything that came his way. The Frenzy gave his usual commited performance, chasing everything and backing up others. Shilts behind the sticks proved solid.

Batting wise, chasing 272, it was always going to be tough. So, seeing out the full 40 overs against a strong bowling attack (though some a little dodgy) was a brilliant achievement. The steady 40 from Junior really helped the team. Everyone got on the score sheet (even Jimmy), with Pete Clarke getting a quick 19 with his attacking strategy. Big congrats to Tim who hit a massive 6 straight back over the bowler, and the club's first 6 of the season.

Well done Sunday team, putting the score aside, it was a great day.
