Match report A good result for the 9 men of Crowthorne during this timed game, the merits of which has been discussed at length on the forum. We won the toss and elected to bat on a green wicket with a farmers meadow of an outfield.

Saviour and debutant Will Avrili put on a good 44 opening partnership. Will going on to make 65 with some great running between the wickets with twin brother Ant, who made 27 on his debut. Tim Leach made 11 with some hard hitting, while Dave edged close to Jimmy on the duck leaderboard. At 140-5 with only 3 wickets remaining Dan and Brendy put on a 60 partnership, Dan going on to get an unbeaten 52. Unfortunately cameraman Frenzy was at the crease, so the moment wasn't captured, but was much enjoyed by the watching Crows.

Having set a target of 200 the Crows laboured for some time whilst BBC's opening pair put on 78 with some fairly negative play. Saviour and Time bowled tightly, then the opening came from the Frenzy, taking out their leading batsmen's leg stump! I wont mention going for 10 an over as it'll upset Brendy too much! The next dangerman was taking out with a good run out from Ant Avrili, throwing into Shilt's hands who glady whipped the bails off. The comeback looked unlikely and wickets fell from the bowling of Saviour, Tim and Will Avrili, which gave the Crows a real chance of winning the game. Dan then took 2 wickets in quick sucession with 2 stumpings from Shilts. The victory seemed on, but BBC batted through to end up with a draw, but a moral victory for the Crows.

A great team performance with only 9 men.
