Seasons Greetings From Crowthorne Cricket Club.
Dear Crows (old and current!),
2012 has been a big year for the club with progress and development both on and off the pitch. The Weather played a large part but we still had a great season despite numerous cancellations. Promotion was narrowly missed again for the Saturday Team, whilst the Sunday Team spilled into 2 teams most weeks.
Many thanks to everyone involved in the club this year for your efforts and enthusiasm to make The Crows the club it is. We have a great setup now with a terrific spirit and atmosphere. We also have an amazing pool of players now which continues to go from strength to strength.
As previously communicated, we have made the step to have a 2nd Saturday XI for 2013. This is a massive step forwards for the club and as I’m sure you’ll appreciate will create lots of work for everyone involved in running the club.
Please have think of how YOU could get more involved in 2013 as we need to share the workload of running the club around a bit more. Any efforts (however small), may ease the pressure a bit on others. I will issue a document that shows all the tasks and responsibilities within the club so, hopefully a few people may like to get a bit more involved.
To prosper again in 2013 and beyond we will need to all work together to maintain the progress. In the New Year we will push forward with recruitment of new player. If you know anyone who might be interested please give them our details and we’ll reel them in.

The AGM will be on Sunday 27th January after Nets. Full details in the New Year. Please try to make effort to attend this.
Indoor nets start on 6th January (10-11am at Wellington). £3 per session
Hope you and your families all have a great Christmas and New Year (or “Winter Holiday”) and I look forward to my bowling getting smashed all over the place at nets in January
