Greetings all Crows and associates (Old, New, Very Old etc etc)
Just a quick update on the 2012 Adrian Chatters 6-a-side Tournament, which will take place on Sunday 8th July 2012.
For those of you who don't remember Adie, he WAS Crowthorne Cricket Club. A gentleman on and off the pitch and a mainstay of the Crows team for many years. He is our all-time leading run-scorer. When he was sadly taken from us in 2006, we made a pledge as a club that his memory would live on with us forever in the form of an annual day in his name. This took shape into the hugely popular and successful 6-a-side tournament wihch has been held since 2007.
As out Blue-ribband event and in our 30th Year, we want to make this years event the biggest and best yet!
We have 8 teams (4 Crows Teams), 2 pitches, a BBQ, Beer, loads of other food and drinks, a bouncy castle, giant Jenga, kwik Cricket, a raffle in aid odf charity, as well as lots of other stuff going on all day.
We strongly encourage as many people associated with the Crows (either currently or in the past) to come and join us on this day to remember Adrian and to make sure the event in his name continues to be a fitting tribute to him. Even if you didn't know Adie, we ask you to come down, bring your firends and family and enjoy a bumper day of 6-a-side cricket in the lovely surroundings of Wellington College.
We will issue more details in the coming weeks (including details of an exciting Charity Raffle with some incredible prizes on offer).

As we try and run this whole day with the help of goodwill and donations etc, we are on the lookout for the following (not an exhaustive list):
1. Raffle prizes. (I have a letter to show to prospective prize donors if required)
2. Volunteers to help organise (including selling raffle tickets
3. We'd like all Crows players to let us know if you are available to play. The sooner we know numbers, the sooner we can sort the teams out. Please visit the website and indicate your availability. (You will be chased for this at this weekends matches as well as nets etc) We have no Saturday game the day before so you should be able to get clearance from the boss at home!
4. We'd love to see as many former players as possible. If you are in contact with anyone who used to play, please forward this on to them.
5. Offers to donate food/cakes on the day
6. Anyone with any contacts that maybe able to help us with any aspect of the day (bit generic I know)
7. Bit of a long shot here.....If anyone can fix the weather to be about 22 degrees, sunny with a slight breeze, that would be perfect too.
