Dear All,
Just as a reminder ahead of the league season kicking off this weekend that as well as playing within the laws of Cricket, we are also responsible for upholding the "Spirit of Cricket" as defined by MCC.
Both Mark and Jason have signed a declaration that Crowthorne CC will play the game in accordance with this. The Berkshire League have implemented this declaration for 2012 for all clubs.
Personally, I find it sad that this is the case as I feel that as a club we very much embrace it already - as should all teams without prompting. However there have been specific instances where other teams haven't been able to do so.
So as a result , please see below "The Spirit of Cricket" Please have a read and think about how that affects you.
I'm keen for Crowthorne CC to be held in the highest regard by other teams for the way we play the game. Hopefully they'll also hate us for beating them!!!
