Crowthorne CC making strides

Crowthorne Cricket Club’s preparations for the new season are well underway as the club look forward to another season in Division Two of the Berkshire League. After 16 weeks of indoor training the club now move outside to their training facility at Wellington College in Crowthorne. The club have been able to improve this facility further due the purchase of a bowling machine and fielding equipment thanks to a new sponsorship deal with network solutions provider Installation Technology. Club captain Peter Northall Claims “Everyone at the club is really looking forward to the new season and the improvement in the training facilities, thanks to Installation Technology has been a massive boost”
On the field the batting line-up has been strengthened with the acquisition of South African Richard Barron who along with Captain Peter, His brother Steve and Robin Stent will form the backbone of the batting line-up. The bowling attack will have a familiar look to it with duties being shared amongst Ross Chalmers, John Cole, club stalwarts Dan Partridge and Aran Long along with last season’s player of the year Luke Jouanides.
The club have two friendly matches with Crown Wood and Warfield before their first Berkshire League fixture of the season against South East Reading on the 8th May.
