Crowthorne & Crown Wood Cricket Club Welcomes New Sponsors and Celebrates Dedicated Members

Dear all,

I am absolutely thrilled to be able to send this email to you all this afternoon.

We have, this week, taken delivery of a brand new sightscreen at St Sebs - to replace one of the older, rotting ones. This has come about because of....

OUR NEW SPONSORS!

Ryslip Group Limited:

Our long-standing member, John Cartledge, who has been an integral part of the club for over 30 years, continues to show unparalleled dedication. As our Groundsman, John has tirelessly worked to maintain the pristine condition of our cricket ground. As part-owner of Ryslip Group, his generosity has already made a lasting impact through the sponsorship of a brand-new sightscreen, as well as an uplift in new kit for the Women’s and Men’s sections. We are immensely grateful for his continued support, which reflects his enduring commitment to the club’s future.

As part of the sponsorship, Ryslip Pet Shop, part of the Ryslip Group, are running a customer discount and loyalty card scheme for Cricket Club Members in addition to the kit and sightscreen that have been provided. Please pick up a flyer or card at the Bar at St Sebs. The more that is spent by club members, the further the sponsorship will be extended! :-)

In addition to the arrival of the Ryslip Sponsorship, I'd like to remind everyone of our other sponsor...

Gonna Fly Cricket Coaching:

We are also thrilled to welcome Vijay Bhatti, the owner of Gonna Fly Cricket Coaching, as a sponsor. Vijay has been a valued member of the club for over 20 years and is a dedicated Cricket Coach whose passion for nurturing young talent aligns perfectly with the club’s values. Through his business, Gonna Fly Cricket Coaching, Vijay has sponsored the purchase of the youth kit since 2024, ensuring that the next generation of cricketers is well-equipped and ready to shine on the field.

His contribution represents a significant investment in the future of cricket at our club and highlights his commitment to giving back to the cricketing family he has been a part of for so many years.

What it means to the club:

We are delighted to have teamed up with The Ryslip Group in this exciting partnership. It has enabled us to acquire the new sightscreen and provides an opportunity for our members to support a valued local business through the incentive scheme they have put in place. Alongside this, we are equally thrilled to have the support of Gonna Fly Cricket Coaching, whose sponsorship of the youth kit ensures that our young players are well-equipped and ready to flourish. We look forward to mutually beneficial relationships with both sponsors that will last many years.

Both sponsors embody the spirit of community, sportsmanship, and progress that Crowthorne & Crown Wood Cricket Club stands for. Their combined efforts will allow us to further enhance our facilities, nurture talent, and foster an environment of excellence and inclusivity.

As we celebrate these exciting partnerships, we invite our members, supporters, and the wider community to join us in thanking John Cartledge and Vijay Bhatti for their incredible contributions. Together, we look forward to continuing our journey of success both on and off the field.

You will notice the Ryslip and Gonna Fly logos have been appearing on our social media and website as well as physical banners on site as we have been getting ready for this exciting announcement.
