Crowthorne & Crown Wood Cricket Club News story

Season's Greetings from CCWCC

24 Dec 2020

Dear ##firstname##,

I hope you and your families are safe and well in these continued difficult times.

As 2020 comes to a close, we can reflect on a very strange year in many ways, but a year where the club pulled together to provide limited cricket and social experiences for as many people as possible including the exciting inception of the Coyotes Women's squad.  It's also a year where we have taken stock of where we are and drawn up exciting plans for the future. Thanks to everyone who has been a part of the club this year. I believe we are stronger now as a result of the adversity faced.

As we look forward to 2021 and what that may bring, we have been working hard behind the scenes to plan and prepare to provide cricket for everyone once more.

With the current Tier4 restrictions in place, starting full indoor practice in January looks tough at the moment. We will continue to monitor the situation and make further communications when we have a better idea of what we can and can't do at Wellington. But rest assured we have a coordinated approach between all Youth, Men's and Women's sections to make sure we do everything we can to get as much practice as we are physically able to provide within the rules and guidelines.

Further ahead, we are busy sorting League entries, Friendly Fixtures and such like to make sure we are providing the right amount/level of Cricket for all next summer.

Please keep an eye on your emails for further updates regarding Indoor Practice. We currently have a PLAN A and a PLAN B  depending on circumstances. As for PLAN C.... well lets hope that's not the case!

A final thanks to all who have helped out this year -  there's more people than ever involved in running this club which is great news. Thank you all!   But a special thanks as ever to John Cartledge for his tireless hours voluntarily working on the pitch all year round.

On behalf of the Committee, I'd like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year.  Whatever your circumstances, the club will be here for you and we look forward to seeing as many people as soon as possible.

Best wishes, and #GoCrows!
