Crowthorne & Crown Wood Cricket Club News story

COVID - 19 AND CCWCC

13 Mar 2020

Hello all,

With the developing health situation facing us all, the club would like to update you on how this affects the cricket club.

We are well into our pre season nets at Wellington, and at the time of writing we are able to continue this Sunday. Please read and take in the following that is taken from Wellington College's policy on the current situation.

Even if your visit to the College falls within the essential category (for example, you are a parent collecting your child) please refrain from entering the College site for any reason if you have travelled from or transited through any of the following countries or areas in the past 14 days:

  1. Italy, Hubei Province in China, Daegu, Cheongdo or Gyeongsan in the Republic of Korea or Iran in regardless of whether you have any symptoms of COVID-19; or

  2. mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, the Republic of Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar and have or develop the symptoms of COVID-19 (that is, a fever, cough or shortness of breath) even if your symptoms are mild.

- PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND NETS IF YOU FALL INTO ONE OF THESE CATORGORIES. THIS INCLUDES YOUTH PLAYERS THAT HAVE PARENTS THAT FALL INTO THE ABOVE CATORGORIES.

- IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, HOWEVER MINOR THE SYMPTOMS, THEN PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND NETS.

This is an ongoing and developing situation and going forward we will work with the college and keep you updated. Things may change very quickly and we will listen to the advise that is given from the government and the ECB.

As for the coming season, the committee is preparing the club to be ready as normal, but as you can understand the safety and well being of all players, parents and visitors of the club will be our number one priority.

Thank you.

CCWCC Committee.
