Dear all,
The annual Club day at St Sebastian’s is fast approaching on 21st July. It has in the past been a great day to celebrate the club, have fun with the six-a-side and drink the bar dry. There is a bouncy castle and Wellington’s finest DJs “Ant and D**k” providing the entertainment throughout the day, and all food is included with player/spectator fees. Drinks can be bought separately from Bo's Bar all day. This year there will also be a Junior intra club tournament starting at 0930 - details already sent from Sarah Emes. The Senior event will be as per usual - PLEASE UPDATE YOUR AVAILABILITY if you would like to play in this.
Timings:
0930 - Junior Intra Club Tournament starts
1145 - Junior trophy presentation
SENIOR PLAYERS TO ARRIVE BY 12
1200 - Adult matches start as soon as juniors are finished– 6-a-side mini groups and then three knock out matches - three matches per player
1200 - BBQ open for business - huge thanks in advance to Mikey and Hayleigh for running this
1600 – Tea and cakes available - included in match fee
2100 – Senior Trophy celebration
Cost £10 per adult player and £5 Juniors or spectators
As ever with this day, its success lies in how much each member can contribute.
Things we need:
Can you rally your family and friends to join us for the day?
Can you provide something to accompany the BBQ – salads / cold dishes etc?
Can you donate a slab of beer to Bo’s bar?
Can you help serve the tea, help get set up, collect money, do some umpiring?
Please reply to this email to let me know what you can provide and we can make sure that everything is covered. If you wish to play, you will soon receive a selection notification (sent to the usual suspects). If any other adults would like to play, then please let me know and I'll add you to the list.
