CCWCC JUNIOR UPDATE MAY 2017

12 May 2017

To Junior members, parents and guardians,

The following is just a quick update on things now that the cricket season is underway. We like to welcome all new members to our club and we hope that the first few weeks have been enjoyable for all of you as it has for us.

For those of you who have been part of the club already, I am sure you will agree that the Friday and Tuesday nights have been attended like never before and long may this continue!

To help continue our great start to the cricket season, please read the following points that will help run things smoothly as we go forward in the season.

1. Member subscriptions are due. Tonight ( 12 May), there will be lots of membership forms in the bar. Please ask for Sarah Emes or Dan Partridge who will be happy to assist you in filling them out. The price for the season is;

U9 -  £50

U11 and above - £60.

 This price includes training at St Sebastion's on every Friday till the end of August and also use of the nets at Wellington College on Tuesday nights. If you are selected for a match, a fee of £2 will apply.

2. Today's weather is slightly on the wet side, although the forecast is for it to clear up by 4pm. In the case of training being called off by the weather, we will contact you by e mail, it will be posted on the website and will be posted on social media. Please make a note of the following;

We will try and go ahead with training every week unless the conditions become dangerous. Please note, there will representatives of the club at the ground every Friday regardless of the weather. The income from the bar is a vital to the running of the club so rain or shine, the bar and kitchen will be open EVERY FRIDAY throughout the season.

3. Especially aimed at those of you new to the club ( current members already know!), as the night draws in at St Seb's we often get visited by  midges who like to join in the fun ( who can blame them!!). We would highly recommend that you invest in anti midges spray for the children. As someone who has played at St Seb's for 15 years, I can truly say it will be a sound investment!

We look forward to seeing you all tonight and throughout the season. As a committee, we are very focused on providing a fun and safe environment for your children to learn and love the game of cricket.

Thank you all for your continued support.

CCWCC Committee.
