Outdoor Nets - Wellington College - Tuesday Nights

Dear all Adult Members,

It's that time of year again.....

Adult Nets start tonight at Wellington at 6.00 pm til 8pm.  (Youth will be from 6.30)

For those unfamiliar with the location:

https://crowthornecc.secure-club.com/location/default.aspx?locationID=2731

Few housekeeping points:

1. NO SPIKES.

2. Upon arrival at the college, you need to let the security person know you are from the Cricket Club and are using the nets.

3. Be safe.  Be aware that our youth section will be using the adjacent nets and there will be children wandering about. We will try and keep this as segregated as possible but please be sensible!!

4. Respect the facilities and the fact we are very lucky to be using these facilities.  Park sensibly, no litter, misbehaviour etc....  I don't need to remind everyone how important our relationship with Wellington is.  Please bear this in mind at all times whilst on site.

5. We must take EVERYTHING away with us that we bring. Whoever is last there, please just grab everything that belongs to the club or members.

6. We will have the 3 nets nearest the Pink Pavilion for adults. The youth will have the rest. Please put all bags to the side of the nets - not in the firing line!

7. Stumps should be provided in all nets. If there are not enough or none at all, someone needs to go to the sports centre reception and explain that you are from the cricket club and we need to borrow some stumps. If we do this, they MUST be returned at the end.

8. General setup should be 3 adult nets, keeping people with similar ability together.  For those attending, you will need to sort this amongst yourselves  so that everyone who wants to bat get's an equal time and beginners aren't facing 1st team bowlers and Dave Shaw isn't bowling at the 1st team batters!

9. Try and keep an equal number of bowlers in each net. If you see 1 net has depleted in numbers, try and even it out.

10. Try not to disappear as soon as you've had your turn at batting.

Any questions please let any of the adult cricket organisers know.  (Nick, Dan F, John, Bainesey or the Tzar Of Adult Cricket himself, Aran.)  I won't be attending on Tuesdays due to other commitments so help each other out to make it run smoothly.

Regards,

Dan
