Cricket Force Weekend and Pre Season Curry Night 2016
This has worked fantastically well in previous years and as with previous years,we really need everyone to do their bit as unfortunately, Cricket clubs don't run themselves.
The event will takes place on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th of April, from 10am each day.
Some of the things we need to get done before the start of the season include:
Outside:
Clean and possibly paint the sightscreens, clear leaves from the boundary edge, clear all debris from outfield - rake leaves, collect sticks etc. Strim boundary edge, weed patio then sweep dry mix of sand and cement into the gaps. Clear car park of leaves etc. Remove the netting from the old and unusable nets
Inside:
The Bar, Kitchen, Storeroom and Committee room need sorting, Freezers cleaned out, etc, etc.
We do own a few tools, rakes etc but would be very helpful if you have any to bring along.
As you can see there is a lot to be done in order for the ground to be ready for the start of the season but it will not be all work, work, work!
This year we will again be incorporating the pre season curry night, with the Bar open an a curry ordered in.
I guess you are probably thinking that we could not possibly fit any more fun into one weekend? But you would be mistaken, you will also be able to collect any club kit you have purchased and pay your subs!!!!
As we have mentioned before, clubs like ours do not run themselves so I again ask that everybody gets involved and helps our club.
