  • Alex "Psycho / Splinters" Sykes
  • Another product of the Eagle House Staff production line, Alex signed as a mediocre keeper-who-could-bat-a-bit for the Crows in the spring of 2014. His performances at Wellington nets quickly saw him converted into a mediocre bowler-who-could-bat-a-lot instead, and he quickly established himself as a member of the first team, significantly contributing to the historical Div 1 League title victory for the newly merged club.

    Quick, back of a length deliveries became his hallmark, as well as some ferocious middle order hitting, and by the end of his first season Alex established himself as a mainstay of the seam attack, and after smashing an unbeaten league ton off 60 odd deliveries he also secured the 1st team batting prize for 2014.

    He Says: "I am a better bowler than Ross; fact. But I am learning a lot off Jeff, and one day I may be able to open the bowling and take a wicket."
