Match report Crows crushed under cloudy skies

Crows lost the toss and were put in on a damp wicket under leaden skies.
Wickets fell regularly through the 30.4 overs of the innings.

Ven looked comfortable until he said yes to a hopeful at best 2nd, departing for 16. Jay added a sound 21, adding 32 with Mikey Storey for the 6th wicket in the process. JC junior confounded everyone by watching an off spinner hit his off stump.

Crows all out for 99,one run short of the bonus point.

After a pastry filled tea including Monty's special cheese straws and just enough sausage rolls for 22 players crows set out to try and defend.

Off the 3rd ball of the innings we missed a run out of the Binfield skipper, a miss that proved very costly. No one bowled badly, but there was no luck and sensible batting from the skipper on his way to 54 not out left the crows pointless at the end of play

A special welcome to Dipak, who looked better than most of us with the bat and showed some promising wheels when bowling
