Match report Bounty Bashed as Cartledge cruises to Classy ton.

Cartledge continued his scintillating Sunday form with an unbeaten 137 as the Sunday crows swept a youthful Bounty CC aside at St Sebs.

A gentlemen's agreement saw Crows batting first in the sunshine at St Sebs on sunday, and the bounty opening bowlers started well, as Baines played on in the first over. Allwright and Cartledge settled the ship before Allwright succumbed in the 12th over. With the score 57-2, and then 77 for 3 in the 19th over things could have gone either way, but Mackenzie came to the crease, and between him and Cartledge, put on 115 before the skipper fell to a good ball from the returning Dylan. Cartledge accelerated past the 100 mark, and with a nice cameo from Brundish added another 50 runs in the last 5 overs to post an imposing total of 252.

In the field The crows showed no mercy, as first Brundish, then K-Dog(who also took a great run out to complete a brilliant weekend) took two wickets a piece. Storey joined the party with another fine spell,Carson took a good caught and bowled- and celebrated like an upturned tortoise- and it was left to Williams to clean up the tail with a brilliant spell of 3 for 10 off 2.2

Mackenzie spoke to reporters after the game, saying, " The whole team were superb today, Cartledges century was a pleasure to watch, and it was nice to play a part in it with our 100 partnership. I was gutted to miss out on my 50, but I knew things were in safe hands. The bowling from us was also top notch-The K-Dog weekend continued-Brundish opened very well, and over all im very pleased with our performance. We hope to continue in that vein next weekend."
