Alan "The President" Brown
Club Founder, President and Spiritual Leader. Alan retired from playing a couple of years ago, his on field appearances limited to umpiring the League XI matches, where he is widely considered by other teams to be the finest and fairest umpire in the league. However it is his playing achievements that make Alan the Crowthorne Legend that he is. He was captain for many years and holds many club records. He has scored almost 9000 runs for the club, taken many hundreds of wickets and is left on 99 catches. His batting partnerships with Adie Chatters broke all records as the club grew from it's humble roots. His bowling was simple but effective, with many a bastman falling for the inviting illsuion of his slow deliveries before succumbing to the inevitable subtlety. Despite being into his 8th decade, he could still do a job with the bat when required.
